2015 Summer Training Challenge

Watauga Summer Training Challenge:

Mileage will be counted through Strava from June 1st- August 14th that is 74 days to reach the mileage goals (6 miles per day for Boys and 4 per day for girls)

This system will take into account a mix of individual attendance and miles logged. This system will allow those who cannot make it to practice as easily due to travel constraints, and vacations to still have a level they can qualify for if they are putting in their mileage. It also takes into account those who might not be ready for higher mileage but who attend a certain amount of the summer practices. We will keep a running tally of summer practice attendance, and we will ONLY take the RUNNING mileage from entries in the running log we use as a team, or from a Coach approved alternative. We will find a way to adjust the system for anyone not able to run due to injury on a case to case basis. We might also consider allowing makeups on a case to case basis. The attendance percentage used for levels 4 and 5 will be determined based on team attendance and will be decided at a later date. For example: if we have multiple people with 90% attendance the threshold will be closer to 90% if no one achieves 90% it will be a lower percentage.
