Despite improving on her record-breaking time in winning the 4A championship last year, Darby Middlebrook came in 2nd today. Madison Harman almost matched her PR, missing by less than a second, and improved on her time in last year's race by 21 seconds. She came in 14th. The Watauga Girls team came in 5th, but could not repeat last year's surprise 2nd place.
The Boys improved to 6th this year. Peter Vandenberg won 8th place and Josh Anderson 15th. Bryan Brackney improved his PR by more than 10 seconds. Early in the race, it almost looked as if they might win it all. Watauga can
only be pleased at the way the Boys have finished the season.
